Maureen Roberts

Maureen Roberts joined Local 31 in April 2004, having spent the previous four years with Teamsters Joint Council No. 36 as the WCB Advocate. Maureen continues to advise Local 31 members on their WCB claims and represent members at all levels of WCB appeals.

Maureen obtained her LL.B from the Faculty of Law at the University of British Columbia in 1984 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1985. She was initially employed by the WCB for two years before becoming in house Legal Counsel for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 258 from 1987 to 1998. Maureen was then a Vice Chair at the Workers' Compensation Review Board from 1998 until joining the Teamsters in 2000.

Maureen's outside interests include gardening, flyfishing and travel.
