The Executive Board

Catherine joined the Teamsters in 1995 when Metro Vancouver became affiliated and since 2001 serves Local 31's membership as Vice-President on the Executive Board. Catherine also serves as a representative for Canadian Teamsters on the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Women's Committee.

Catherine works full-time in public sector at Metro Vancouver and serves as a Shop Steward and representative on various Labour / Management Committees. She is a graduate of the Foundation Program in Management for Women and Rules of Order and Minutes Demystified; completed courses in Local Government Administration / Services in British Columbia and Canadian Labour Congress Courses - Collective Bargaining, Facing Management and Union Counselling. Catherine has also attended workshops on Women in Local Government Politics provided by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.

In her spare time, Catherine enjoys being team Mom to her daughter's soccer team, volunteering on the United Way Campaign, Run for the Cure, various BBQ / special events.
