John Ellis

John joined Local 31 in 1971 while working for Country Freight Lines in the Fraser Valley. Following a move to Prince George in 1974 he commenced employment with Carson/Altrans (later Motorways) where he served as shop steward. In 1988 John was hired as a full-time Business Representative. In that capacity he continues to travel the north country servicing Local 31's membership at the bargaining table and in resolving grievances. In 2006 and 2001 John was elected as a Local 31 Delegate to the IBT Convention.
